I really enjoy the activity of making stained glass pieces. I use the copper tape method, using lead-free solder, exclusively. A spool of lead-free solder is much more expensive than leaded solder. But I feel it is worth the extra cost and it's the only solder that I have on my workbench.

Lead-free solder is safer for the environment and for people too.

I loathe cutting out glass patterns. I want to go with my imagination. I like to break up sheets of glass and see what happens. I let the shape of glass direct me toward the finished piece.

I like to add glass bead dangles. I wire wrap my dangles with galvanized steel or beading wire.

All the wire soldered on my pieces are either galvanized steel or copper wire that have been hand tinned.

I don't use chemicals to change the color of my pieces. They are not safe for the environment or humans. So all of my pieces are silver in color.

My pieces are finished with a looped, flexible wire to make hanging your window charm a cinch.
